Common Questions

Custom Cookies

How much are your custom cookies?

Pricing for custom cookies starts at $50 per dozen. The price increases based on the level of detail and number of designs. When you submit an order request, I will respond to your inquiry within 1-2 business days. I may have a few questions to ask, or I may offer you a few pricing options based on the details you provided in your request if I have enough information to determine a price. Once we nail down all the details, I will email you an invoice for the amount we agreed upon.

How long do your custom cookies last?

All of our custom cookies are individually packaged and heat sealed to ensure maximum freshness. Our cookies will stay fresh in an unopened package at room temperature for 2 weeks.

Can I freeze my custom cookies?

Yes! Freeze them in the original, unopened, heat sealed package for up to 6 months! Place them inside a plastic container (on their sides rather than laying flat to avoid damaging the design) and place the container in the freezer. When ready to eat the cookies, pull them out and allow to completely thaw at room temperature (1-2 hours) before opening up the plastic container (helps prevent condensation from forming) to ensure the icing is not damaged.

How much advance notice do you need on my custom cookie order?

A month advance notice is ideal. You may still submit an inquiry if you need your cookies with less notice, I will let you know if I can accommodate your order or not based on my existing commitments. Custom cookies take time to design, order supplies, bake, decorate, photograph and package, so the earlier you can submit your request, the better! I have a calendar of my availability on the Order Here tab that you can check before submitting a request.

What ingredients are used in your cookies?

Our vanilla sugar cookies are made with butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla bean paste, flour, and baking soda. The royal icing is made with powdered sugar, meringue powder, vanilla, and corn syrup (to give the icing a soft bite).

*All cookies are baked in a home that is exposed to the following allergens: nuts, milk, wheat, eggs

Where are your cookies made?

I make cookies in my in-home bakery located in Olathe, Kansas.

Do you ship?

Yes, I ship custom cookies (not sourdough)! Our cookies ship well and we package them with care. I cannot guarantee that all cookies will remain intact no matter how well I package them. No refunds will be given for broken/damaged cookies. Cookies are shipped priority mail via USPS or UPS and arrive in 1-3 business days, typically. Note: Cookies can only be shipped to the United States. International shipping is not available at this time.

Do you make licensed character cookies?

No. Most character cookies are copyrighted or trademarked images and cannot be used without permission. I can do “inspired by” sets using character theme elements.

Do you offer refunds?

If you cancel at least 14 days prior to your scheduled pick-up date, a full refund will be given. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to your scheduled pick-up date, 80% of your payment will be refunded because at that point I will have spent time on your order (designing, ordering supplies, etc.). If I have made your cookies when you cancel, I cannot refund your order.

Sourdough

How should I store my sourdough?

Sourdough is made with only three ingredients - flour, water, and salt. It is preservative-free, and as a result, only lasts 2-3 days at room temperature. If you do not finish your loaf of sourdough within 2 days, we recommend you slice the remainder of the loaf and freeze the slices in an airtight plastic bag. To eat after frozen, remove a slice from the freezer and microwave it for 20-30 seconds or toast it until warmed through.

How much advance notice do you need on my sourdough order?

Making a single loaf of sourdough is a two-day process. My family has a busy schedule, so I have to plan ahead to make sourdough. I recommend making your request at least a week in advance. Due to my family’s busy schedule, I cannot guarantee that I will have availability even with a week’s notice. However, I am happy to take your order if it works with our schedule.
